A pig slaughterhouse at RW 04, Kapuk Urban Village, Cengkareng, West Jakarta, which built in a modern cannot be operated yet. This is because, the Jakarta Financial Management Body (BPKD) has crossed out fund for electricity supply worth Rp 3 billion.

Initially, West Jakarta Administration planned to operate the pig slaughterhouse in January 2015. The slaughterhouse itself was built with a waste water processing system (ipal) and modern clipper.

"Supposedly, the pig slaughterhouse already been operated. But the fund for electricity supply is crossed out, whereas it has passed the Goods and Services Procurement Agency (ULP)," Head of Jakarta Marine and Agriculture Department, Darjamuni, Tuesday (11/4).

Darjamuni disclosed that such slaughterhouse stands on the land as wide as 1.7 hectares is located opposite the old slaughterhouse. "The RPH development is an expectation of Mr. Joko 'Jokowi' Widodo not to disturb the local citizens," he expressed.

On the other hand, delay in the slaughterhouse operational is also automatically hampering the market demand for pork, from 500 pork chops to 1,000 pork chops per day.

Meanwhile, the current pig slaughterhouse is far from hygienic requirement. Rotten smell spread from the building was already very sting, because the waste carelessly discarded into the drains.
